To start the year 2012, Madagascar had the honor of being the official partner of the touristic exhibition Reisemarkt Rhein-Neckar-Pfalz in Mannheim (Baden-Wurttemberg ) from 6 to 8 January. The region partner was the Bruche Valley (Alsace).

This exhibition organised by Messen-Kongress-GmbH Ausstellungen TMS led by Dr. Frank Klaus with about 300 exhibitors on 8000m2 area was a real opportunity to promote Madagascar tourism in Germany. The country was represented by 2 malagasy and german operator tours respectively Adventure Expedition managed by Mr Lawis and Urlaub & Culture headed by Mr Olaf Wuppermann. The Embassy which contributed to the participation of Madagascar in this exhibition was represented during the event by Mrs Elsa Rajemison responsible of tourism and Mrs. Volatiana Andriamanalina responsible of press.

Saturday, October the 29th, 2011, was held at the Embassy of Madagascar in Falkensee, the Consular Summit 2011 to countries of jurisdiction of the Embassy.

 

This workshop was an opportunity not only to review the events and highlights during the last 2 years, but also to present the various activities carried out by the Embassy and Consulates, and the perspective for the future. General and specific issues were discussed at this meeting.

 

7th Edition of the Economic Forum of the Indian Ocean Islands (FEIOI), key event in the economic area

The 7th Edition of FEIOI will be held in Fort-Dauphin (Madagascar) from 24 to 26 October 2011. The main partners of this Forum are the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Indian Ocean (UCCIOI) and the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) in collaboration with the host organization, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Madagascar (FCCIM) which includes 24 Chambers of Commerce in the 22 different regions of the Big Island.
